Twinings English Breakfast Tea is by far the best black tea sold in teabag form that you can get on the retail market. Rich full bodied and spicy. It's great alone or lightly sweetened. I drink a cup every morning for my caffeine rush and it's MUCH healthier then drinking coffee! The price to buy Twinings English Breakfast Tea in bulk from Amazon is truly a great deal. OK let's get down to brass tacks - Irish Breakfast tea is not for everyone. There's an old Irish saying that says that a proper cup of tea should be "strong enough for a mouse to trot on" and this tea is certainly within striking distance of that target! But if you add milk and sugar to this fine tea you will be rewarded with a smooth and full-flavored drink.
Irish Breakfast tea is in a class by itself among the teas I have drunk in that it comes closest to being like coffee - that is having a strong taste that gets you up and going in the morning. Not all teas will stand up to a proper breakfast but this one will. Overall I have found this to be a wonderfully interesting tea strong and robust.
And that's my review. If you want a tea that will round out your hearty breakfast then Irish Breakfast tea is for you. If you want tea from a great tea producer them Twinings is for you. I highly recommend this hearty tea!

All-time FavoriteI used to be a coffee drinker. I was raised on the stuff. Being up first in the morning meant I filled the electric pot and got it going. My mother did not emerge until the pot finished some 20 minutes later. I started drinking it myself when I got my first job at the ski lift. We got hot drinks for free and I was soon hooked. Some years later I realized I wasn't really drinking coffee. I was lacing it with so much sugar and creme that it wasn't really coffee at all. I got headaches if I didn't get my fix every couple hours every day.
So as a health benefit I switched to tea. I began with Lipton but soon experimented with all sorts of flavors. When I hit on the Earl Grey that was it for me. It's a mild form of the English Breakfast Tea laced with a bit of Bergamot which may be the reason it is palatable any time day or night. I prefer Twinings although I have used competitor's out of curiosity or availability I always go back to Twinings Earl Grey. I am definitely hooked again but with no ill side effects. I generally drink 2 big mugs in the morning yearn for more in late afternoon and top of my evening the same way it began.
Try it. You'll like it.
